Guest Instructor Nikki Birkenstock

MEd, LCMHCA, NCC is passionate about working with children, teens and their families addressing issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, adjustment issues, social & academic issues, self-esteem issues, developmental concerns, multicultural issues, and life transitions through individual and family therapy. She has worked as a school counselor, in private practice, and is a certified mind and body wellness provider.

Executive Director Candice Creasman Mowrey

PhD, LCMHCS - Dr. Candice Creasman Mowrey received a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008, and a Doctorate in Counseling and Counselor Education from North Carolina State University in 2015. She has worked in psychosocial rehabilitation, in-patient, community agency, disability services, and intensive outpatient settings. She founded Creasman Counseling, PLLC, a single-person private practice, in 2011, which has grown to a team of over 30 culturally and professionally diverse clinicians. Dr. Creasman Mowrey has been adjunct faculty at NCSU and Northwestern University and has provided clinical supervision since 2014.

Counselors

Creasman Counseling PLLC's courses meet the qualifications for CE hours as required by NBCC. Beyond Therapy has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP #7234. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Creasman Counseling, PLLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.

Social Workers

Creasman Counseling, PLLC, provider number 2100, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 1/21/25 - 1/21/26. Social workers completing this course receive 1 general continuing education credit.
